Comparisons between the United States and Switzerland (58) show that Americans are less shy when it comes to talking about their faith publicly.
The current comparison between Americans and Swiss on spirituality shows a systematically greater inclination of the former towards religion. For example, much more people believe in heaven and hell in the USA than in Switzerland. But the biggest gap concerns the reading of the Bible: 57% of Americans versus 9% of Swiss say they have read it at least once over the last 12 months. Does this tell something about the Protestant identity of the USA?
